INTRO TO TAX LAW, 3 CREDITS, IN ENGLISH
The course is designed with a view to providing non-tax practitioners with a sound understanding of tax concepts and the ability to identify tax issues which arise in the context of structuring business entities and business transactions.
Topics:
1. Intro to tax systems, history of taxation, main definitions.
2. Personal income taxation.
3. Corporate income taxation.
4. Value –added tax.
5. Withholding tax.
6. Exise, property, land taxes.
7. Other taxes.
8. Intro to international taxation.
Attention: classes take place once in two weeks on Saturdays, all homework and consultations are provided on-line.
